Translation of Medieval 2 Total War into Portuguese

This mod will only be of interest to the Portuguese-speaking community (mainly Portuguese and Brazilian gamers), but since there are not so few of us, I figure there'd be no problem in divulging this in an international forum. (Let me know if I am wrong!)

It's the first ever complete translation of the whole text of Medieval II Total War into Portuguese.
Main features include:

• Every technical term relative to the Middle Ages (weaponry, building names...) was faithfully translated, thanks to painstaking research
• Informal and accessible language was used for help texts, so as to facilitate their reading
• Medieval vocabulary was used for dialogues, so as to create a more coherent and immersive game atmosphere

Estou aqui para apresentar a primeira tradução para português do Medieval 2 Total War. Características da tradução:

• Totalmente em português de Portugal
• Todos os vocábulos técnicos especificamente relativos à Idade Média (armamento, edifícios...) foram traduzidos o mais fielmente possível, graças a um intensivo trabalho de pesquisa
• Uso de linguagem informal e acessível nos textos de ajuda, para facilitar a sua leitura
• Uso de português de carácter medieval nos diálogos, para criar um ambiente de jogo mais coerente e imersivo

LOL. Of course M2TW was release in Portugal, but like most other countries the game only provides: English, French, Spanish and German.

Swagger, it took me about two years to do the translation, but that was because I took long brakes here and then...

uanime5, M2TW has been released in Portugal and Brazil, but in English (just like the majority of games, actually). Portuguese is the third most spoken European language in the world, but very few games are translated...

and the games translated in portuguese have lots of errors, and most are in portuguese from brazil (wich is kinda annoying)


but let's say you could choose a perfect translation of portuguese, or a original english game, i would go for the english game

Still, things are changing. New EA games are ALL in European Portuguese (at least since the end of 2007). Same with Valve's games and most Microsoft games. And they're all PRETTY well translated.

P.S - Oh, and in GTA IV there are people cursing in Portuguese, how about that? ^^

thank you sir.. long time wanting for this, and, actually , very few games are in brazilian portuguese, these anoying ones u refer are , in deed , badly translated at all...
