Default Need to upgrade to play medieval 2

    Hi,

Ive never upgraded my computer before: I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 about 3 years old. I know i need to upgrade my processor and Ram but will i be able to play with such a weak graphics card such as a ATI Radeon Xpress 1150? Im able to play rome online with lag with up to 10000 men. Ive played the demo and i can run it with ok graphics but its very slow.

EDIT: I set my computer from best appreance to best performance and nowit runs quite a bit faster

You can't upgrade the graphics on your notebook. The rest is questionable. The graphics chipset with the shared memory may or may not play a campaign. My bet is it would not do battles. It Might be great for business presentations but no good for 3d gaming. You need to think about a serious investment especially if you're also looking at Empire.

As irishron said in warm words, i'll say in other ones, you really need to buy a new computer since im sure if you make it work for Med2, you will eventually get tired or wanna try another game, and all new games nowadays need a lot more power than that. If you have problems with money

If you work, then play Rome Total War and at the end of every month put some cash by side, until u reached you goal (800-1200€ buys a computer quite decent for more 3 years i supose), then buy a new pc, without having to dry out ur pockets

if you don't work and ur under legal age to work, then every time your parents give you some cash, either save it all or at least a part of it, and when u have some like 50% of the cash for the new pc, ask ur parents to pay the rest, shouldn't be that much, and payable in monthly fees or something like that.

Rome Total War, besides the fact that has worse graphics is pretty much the same...and this one is very cheap by now...I nerver actually got to play Medieval 1, and since im a graphic ''addicted'' i don't think i would like it lol, but try those, they are a lot of fun.

Suggestions only lol, you can do whatever you think suits you best
