Unpacking: strategy.sd, shared.sd, battle.sd etc.
Hi people,
I'm trying to set up a mod folder based upon the Crusades Campaign. I first tested with unpacking everything to the original Crusades mod folder. I got very strange screens (see With.jpg). After removing the *.txt.strings.bin files listed I got proper text displayed again, and after deleting the *.sd files as well, everything worked fine again.
- data/ui/shared.sd
- data/ui/strategy.sd
- data/ui/battle.sd
- data/text/battle.txt.strings.bin
- data/text/shared.txt.strings.bin
- data/text/strat.txt.strings.bin
- data/text/tooltips.txt.strings.bin
But then I wanted to set up the mod folder. Copied all the files to the folder, created .cfg file. When I start it without the files I get the screen as in "Without.jpg". Without the .sd's and the .bin's listed above, the game uses the vanilla version of the .sd's and it seems to use no replacement for the .bin's, for all a certain kind of text boxes is empty.
But when I include them, I get the screen as shown in "With.jpg".
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Re: Unpacking: strategy.sd, shared.sd, battle.sd etc.
Some progress made. After unpacking the vanilla *.sd files into the vanilla data/ui folder, I put the crusades *.sd files in the crusades data/ui. The crusades faction symbols now show up, but the text that was missing is still.
I already tried unpacking the vanilla *txt.strings.bin files, listed in my first post, to the vanilla data/text folder, but it didn't matter.
The campaign screen now looks like the attachment.
