Mods and Vanilla
Hey guys, I finished a couple of campaigns playing vanilla version. There wasn't many crashes. So now I'm thinking of playing the mods but I read some posts that some people are having more crashes after loading the mods.
I don't think I can start a poll yet. I just want to know how many people are having CTD while playing mods or playing vanilla or no CTD with either.
Thank guys.

Re: Mods and Vanilla
i got to turn 60 first time, then the save became unplayable, couldnt declare way on ANYONE without CTD, restarted, got to turn 66 and while fighting i crashed, so i reloaded, autosave became corrupt, loaded from quicksave, played, crashed, quicksave became corrupt, had to go back to turn 60, now im at around turn 68-70 and havent had another crash yet.. this is all unmodded, so yeah i dont dare touch mods when its nearly unplayable with none

Re: Mods and Vanilla
Didn't have any CTD's with any of the mods I use or ETW at all since I installed my new vidcard. Before I had a ctd every other turn.

Re: Mods and Vanilla
I had until now 1 CTD when playing vanilla, and 1 CTD when playing with modes.
I think most of the modes are not causing more CTDs. I am using 5-6 and happned only once as I said allready.

Re: Mods and Vanilla
The only mod I have is blood and smoke, but that is more graphical side of things, so no CTDS coz of that. I had darth mod installed, then removed due to not liking some features, but did not experience any specific CTDs either

Re: Mods and Vanilla
I never experienced any extra CTDs when playing mods. I hear they are more common when playing as minor factions or the special protectorates (13 colonies, new spain or louisinana)

Re: Mods and Vanilla
There are several excellent mods (Imperial Splendour) and whichever one you choose to play (Imperial Splendour) should work just as well as vanilla works for you...
