Default Hoplite Help (Haha i'm a great poet)

I like it how, as the Romans (And everyone else, I think), you can take a greek city and recruit said city's hoplites. Problem is, after the reforms kick in, you can't anymore. Is there any way to remedy this. I've tried removing the 'and not marian_reforms' in the export_descr_buildings.txt file, but it didn't work!
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hmmhmm, yeah being able to recruite city hoplites does give some variety to you legions. But I don't think it's possible to do it after the reforms

why would you like hoplites in legions that have a, for that time, really strict composition??(just a question and im not critizising your gaming style in any way)

They are nice to use instead of triarii.

(triarii) yeah i suppose so but triarii are pre-marian units and not post-marian units

Well I figure the Total War series is all about forming your own empire and forging that empire's history. Why should you be limited by the paths that leaders of the past chose?

I'd actually love to have a couple of CS Hoplites in my Legions, especially because they look so badass.

it is possible to have the hoplites after the reforms. I have done this little modification. all you have to do is go to your DMB file (save a copy of it on your hard drive just in case) copy all of the recruitment lines for the hoplites in the various barracks the modify the new lines to say " and marian_reforms. make sure to keep the old lines too.

Hang on.. more details please. I've only been able to make the hoplites before or after the reforms, not both, by eniting the export descer thingy building file. How do you get them as both?
