As every American that is worth slightly more than dog squeeze knows, April 15 is the dead line for income tax payments for 2008.
So how much did you have to pay for 2008?
I paid $107,482.88.

Not enough, 2008 was a bad year, my wife lost a month of income dealing with cancer. 2009 is going pretty well though.
Most people don't know how much they pay in taxes, they only know how much of a refund they get or how much additional they have to pay.
BTW my refund was $589.![]()

Man, that's a steep tax. Sure, they made 2.7 millions, but having to pay almost a million is a bammer!
alhoon is not a member of the infamous Hoons: a (fictional) nazi-sympathizer KKK clan. Of course, no Hoon would openly admit affiliation to the uninitiated.
"Angry Uncle Gordon" describes me well.

the only reason his wasnt more is he lost 40% in the market fallout.
the american dream stops at 250,000. make more and the government punishes you for making too much by taxing you more.
"When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like Fidel Castro, not screaming in terror, like his victims."
My shameful truth.
Yeah, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are really being "punished" with the tens of billions of dollars they have, eh?
How people like you can be so naive and ignorant I have absolutely no idea.
Oh, and let's not forget that Warren Buffett himself has publicly stated how he actually pays LESS taxes proportionally than his secretary, and has pointed out how stupid and irrational that is.
Oh, so you prefer the method used by George W Bush in 2001, ie, getting LESS votes and yet "winning" the election anyway? (by choice of the Supreme Court haha, imagine if Obama had got in that way, the right wing nutjobs would be even more crazy than they are now)

Yeah, god forbid anyone be better than someone else at something. We should all work just hard enough to be average. That doctor that went to school for 10 years - he should make as much as the high school dropout that knocked up his girlfriend when he was 16 - because...you know....they're both just human beings....and it's fair.
That's what creative accountants are for! Anyone earning >$250k / yr who isn't diverting at least 60% of their taxable income into tax shelters is a fool. The tax codes are written to benefit the wealthy, so if you're not taking advantage of the situation I have no sympathy for your whining.
Haven't you ever played Monopoly? Get yourself some rental properties, save every receipt, and watch the itemized deductions fly off the page. Schedule A is your friend!
...and if you're still renting, you're a chump. Quit paying your landlord's mortgage, already, and start building your own equity.
Giving tax breaks to the wealthy, is like giving free dessert coupons to the morbidly obese.
IDIOT BASTARD SON of MAVERICK
Class warfare is the hallmark of the Democratic party. Its not about making a great country with justice for all. Its just making sure you get enough votes andthe rest.

Hahaha, so you've stumbled upon the basic tenet of democracy. It's been that way for thousands of years, why act so surprised?
Even someone as apparently naive as yourself must realize that the Democratic party wasn't the first to discover this amazingly novel concept. Any politician who has ever won an election has already used it.
Average American household income is something around 40 000 a year, not 20 000. Jeez, if the average income was 20 000 that would be even worse, that's like a dead end 10 buck an hour job.
