thats funny cause Washington state wants put an income tax onthose making over 250,000. So if it passes(which it will) my parents get to pay federal income tax, state income tax, and state sales tax

That's what creative accountants are for! Anyone earning >$250k / yr who isn't diverting at least 60% of their taxable income into tax shelters is a fool. The tax codes are written to benefit the wealthy, so if you're not taking advantage of the situation I have no sympathy for your whining.

Even someone as apparently naive as yourself must realize that the Democratic party wasn't the first to discover this amazingly novel concept. Any politician who has ever won an election has already used it.
Average American household income is something around 40 000 a year, not 20 000. Jeez, if the average income was 20 000 that would be even worse, that's like a dead end 10 buck an hour job.
