I was curious as to how many people who bought the SF edition actually watched part 1 of the History channel's "The Revolution".....anyone?
I didn't.

In Britain we don`t get one. Only the Americans.
Ya, I watched it. Like a PBS special about the Civil War. Not even close to $20 value. It's like they had 20 actors to do this whole series, you'll see like 20 dudes lined up as the American Militia... that represents your battles in that show. Worthless... bah... bad taste in my mouth. They probably got it for $0.05 from the History Channel, and put it in the SFE as Value-Added to make it sound that much more impressive to steal your money.

- Bra-F'ing-vo! Great statement.
It's sitting in my box, gathering dust.
I am a longtime avid fan of the History Channel anyway - I watch The Revolution series there. More than once.
Indeed, that part 1 of the 4 part "The Revolution" series is a... waste of plastic and aluminum.
I didn't know that other countries didn't get that DVD. Perhaps it is a bit of compensation for only UK game companies giving out some of the company-specific pre-order elite units, like only Amazon.co.uk giving out Dahomey Amazons, and Amazon.com not; and Game.co.uk giving out Death's Head Hussars. I just got another Rome: Total War Gold Edition download code from Gamestop - which I didn't need.
Then again, it must just be unfortunate coincidence!
Europeans did indeed not get the DVD included in the SF edition, but I also noticed that the American version seemed a lot more expensive than the European. The EU version of the SF edition cost me only about £5 more than the regular edition would've. This explains it I guess.
Also, about amazon.co.uk only giving out the Amazons, it did say this on the site (I ordered mine from there), but in the actual game, most all the SF units appear to be playable.
Thanks for the info!![]()
