    Default teamchat?

    how do you toggle teamchat?

I've tried the: "toggle chatmode" button, but everyone could still read what I wrote.

These oversights are so ridiculous it almost makes me laugh. Fortunately, my teammate is my roommate, so team chat isn't necessary for myself, but there are times when I almost feel like I'm cheating when the other team types to each other, thinking it's private. But what else are they to do, even if they know their opponent can read it? Stay silent and hope for the best? Rely on intuition? Type anyway? Another one of the many reasons to play with someone you know (as a teammate) while the game is in its current (beta?) state.

Though when the opposition says things like "Let's go to that immensely high hill and fortify ourselves and wait, patience is key," I have to step in and announce that I can read what they're saying and that I'm going to destroy them regardless of whether they camp on a hill or not. That makes it all the more embarrassing for the opposing party (who in that instance, was soundly defeated). In those instances I don't feel so bad for being able to read what they say.

use steam chat where you can, add you team mate while in lobby. While requiring shift-tabbing (for me) its better than becoming angry enough to smash your screen at the 25 character sentence limit ingame.

I agree...this is one thing I think is wonderful about steam. You can quickly add people to friends and use voice or text to communicate. That being said it's still pathetic that CA couldn't get something as simple as team chat right. Whens our next patch?!
