    Icon10 Funny moment...

I have seen some stupid stuff in battles like they charge a unit or two toward your cannons and you just click quit fire and they stop and turn around and you fire again and they start back toward you again you click stop and they turn around again ect ect ect .... but a minute ago I am playing as French and just burnt London to the ground well there was 1 demi cannon unit 10 men 2 cannons just outside so I attacked it well it sucked in my 2 full stacks so I had 2 6lb horse cannons and 3 24lb howizers in 1st stack so I just thought fight it and see if I can get a trait so ....

I go into battle and after a couple of volleys I hit 1 of the cannons crew and kill 3 so 7 men left and all of the sudden just 1 man of 7 takes off in like 6X speed across battle field toward my 6-lbers and attacks 1 of the crew and my guy runs him threw with bayonet the guy doubles over and dies but it was just freak'n funny as hell it looked like a Benny Hill skit ......

lol, sounds pretty good. Ive noticed that when units break cohesion, some men will run supernaturally twilight fast to get back into formation. But this is something else entirely.

    Do you have a video?

I didn't think of it at the time I wish I did but then again from what I read the replays are not what the battle was when you play back the only reason I got such a good view was because I was looking back at my troops from over the cannons lining up all my cannons from 2 different angles when he took off at super speed ... he took off and a man from other cannon even moved over to other cannon to keep it shooting

Ever noticed that occasionally the speed up button becomes available when using foot artillary? When you press it the men walking either side of the cannon turning the wheels move at super human speeds. Awesome

Also i'm not sure how it happens but if you dismount dragoons and some of their horses die, when you mount again the guys left without a horse will suddenly be able to run as fast as one.

My gut is that their intent was to have the men double up as needed for those cases, two men to a horse but the animation portion of the team couldnt' get it to work so they settled on the superspeed run. I'm actually okay with it because I jus assume that they are sharing space, and havne't had a case of most of my horses getting obliterated, though it begs the qusetion: If you dismount and let the horses get shot up, do you suddenly all run supper fast by "mounting" nothing?

Yup, no need for the crazy font changes and colour.

Also - only moderators are supposed to have bold and coloured text on this forum.

What do you mean you burnt London to the ground? Seems hard to do considering the bland buildings in the game turned out nothing like the beautiful towns and cities in the preview screenshots.

So maybe you meant to say you burned some random buildings in an area marked London to the ground.
