    Icon6 Principate-style General

First of all, thank you very much for this great Mod. Its a great experience to play in this decisive period of Roman history.

Still I have one question and since I'm no expert on modding I hope its not too far-fetched

I really liked the way that the generals unit was displayed on the battlefield im the "original" Roman fashion with the traditional helmet with feathers and the lorica segmentata.

So I was wondering if its is possible for me to somehow replace the texture of the Emperor and the Roman generals in the IJ-game with the unmodded original texture??

    Thanks a lot in advance!

This style of helmet and armour had not been used by the Romans for about 150 years by the time frame of this mod. So, it would not be either historically accurate or in keeping with the mod I think to do this.

    Blasphemy!
As previously stated it would not be historically accurate but it's possible to do it, I guess. Perhaps julianus or someone else versed on the modding part can help you, because I know I can't .

Well thank you two for the information, still whether it was historically accurate to put in such a texture or not was not really part of my question was it?
Thats why I put the "PRINCIPATE" bit in the topic title because I already felt like admitting that it wouldnt be so.

Also how long the lorica segmentata & co was used and who used it is one of the oldest discussions in Roman history

I would still greatly appreciate if someone could tell me how to bring in another texture and overwrite the old one, thank you!

what i know is that lorica segmentata was introduced around 9 BC and fully adopted in the final years of Tiberio's principate, then it started to be replaced around 200-220 AD and disappeared totally between 250 and 290 AD....someone knows something more??
About the texture's question i'm sorry i don't know almost nothing about that.
30BC: Ottaviano Augusto becomes the first Imperator, in his 44 years of principate he will bring to the empire peace and prosperity!
70AD: Vespasiano is the winner of first great empire's civil war, rebuilding Roman world after the Nero's dark ages.
98AD: Traiano becomes imperator after that the senateman Nerva adopted him,he will start a gold age for the empire getting it to biggest extension!! 117AD-180AD Adriano,Antonino Pio and Marco Aurelio administrate the empire during his richest and most pacific period, with their good administration Rome lives its golden age.
193AD: Settimio Severo wins the civil war started after the death of Commodo starting the Severan dinasty, his heirs will not be as good as him. 252-285AD Rome lives the peak of III century's crisis, onli the emperor Aureliano will be able to reunite the empire breacked in 3 parts and the great reformer Diocleziano will give to Rome militar, politic and social cohesion after decades of caos. 325AD:Costantino rules alone over the empire and christianity is for the first time accepted by the imperial government.
