Possible workaround for the infamous "AI's turn" crash.
Like many of you out there, I've been suffering from constant crashes whenever I wait for the AI to finish their turn. I've reloaded previous saves with no luck. But now, I think I may have found a way to get around that crash.
I recently loaded my French campaign where I would crash after ending my turn while waiting for the United Provinces to make a move. Well, instead of ending my turn, I decided to do something different bu moving my main army to attack a rather small group of Savoy militiamen. I just ordered my lancers to charge head on, ending in a swift victory. So, I loaded back to the campaign map, and ended my turn. By some miracle, my game didn't crash. I was able to play for 20-something more turns until it crashed again. I simply did the same thing with fighting on the battle-map again and I managed to get around that crash as well.
So, I'm not entirely sure that it will work for everyone out there, but you're certainly welcome to try.
Now, I just need to find out how to get around the random battle-map crashes...
