    Default Quick question

    Hello, How do i alter the rate that certain troop types can be recruited eg - from waiting 5 turns to recruiting them to say 2 turns.

    Here is how you do increase the amount of turns it takes to create a unit:

    Code:
    type             Peasants
    dictionary       Peasants      ; Peasants
    category         infantry
    class            light
    voice_type       Light
    banner faction   main_infantry
    banner holy      crusade
    soldier          Peasants, 60, 0, 0.8
    attributes       sea_faring, hide_forest, can_withdraw, is_peasant, peasant
    formation        1.2, 1.2, 2.4, 2.4, 6, square
    stat_health      1, 0
    stat_pri         4, 0, no, 0, 0, melee, melee_simple, piercing, spear, 25, 0.6
    ;stat_pri_ex      0, 0, 0
    stat_pri_attr    no
    stat_sec         0, 0, no, 0, 0, no, melee_simple, blunt, none, 25, 1
    ;stat_sec_ex      0, 0, 0
    stat_sec_attr    no
    stat_pri_armour  0, 3, 0, flesh
    ;stat_armour_ex   0, 4, 0, 0, 3, 0, 0, flesh
    stat_sec_armour  0, 0, flesh
    stat_heat        2
    stat_ground      1, -2, 3, 2
    stat_mental      1, low, untrained
    stat_charge_dist 30
    stat_fire_delay  0
    stat_food        60, 300
    stat_cost        1, 110, 90, 65, 50, 110, 4, 20
    armour_ug_levels 0, 1
    armour_ug_models Peasants, Peasants_ug1
    ownership england, france, hre, denmark, spain, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, slave, saxons
    era 0 england, france, hre, denmark, spain, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, saxons
    era 1 england, france, hre, denmark, spain, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, saxons
    era 2 england, france, hre, denmark, spain, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, saxons
    ;unit_info        4, 0, 3
    Now you edit the part in red:

    Code:
    stat_cost        1, 110, 90, 65, 50, 110, 4, 20
    to whatever number you want. However, if you want to increase the amount of turns before you can recruit a unit, then I am afraid that I do not know how to do that yet.

    This is how many turns a unit will take to recruit.
    Code:
    stat_cost        1, 110, 90, 65, 50, 110, 4, 20
    The time it takes to be able to recruit that unit again is found in the EDB;
    Code:
    recruit_pool "Deisi Javelinmen"  1   0.5   4 0  requires factions { ireland, }
    In the example the 0.5 means the unit will be ready to be recruited again in 2 turns, if set at 0.25 it would take 4 turns. It is called the refresh rate.
    The 4 is the maximum number of units that can be stored, ready for recruitment.
    Just to make it complete the 1 is the number of units ready when the building in question is built and the 0 is the amount of experience units get when recruited from this building.
    So to change the refresh time, you would have to search for (ctrl+f) the unit in EDB and change the number every time you find that unit.

    Quick update, finally had a chance to try different refresh rates for various units. Seems to be working well, so thanks and rep to those who helped.
