[EU3] Just a quick question...

I have the demo, and I want to get the hang of the system before I buy the game, but there's two things I can't do.

The first is merge armies. The second is put armies on ships. It's probably the same way, but the stupid tutorial isn't very helpful...

Make sure both armies are in the same province, drag a box around them, in the top right of the army review panel you'll see a merge button. (yellow with 2 arrows pointing inwards)

Armies are reliant on transports to get them anywhere. These are the last ships listed in the ship recruitment screen. Basically 1 ship is required for every 1 regiment (1000 men). 9 transport ships, 9 regiments. The fleet review panel will tell you how many regiments it can take. Loading them is as simple as moving the army into the same sea province as the fleet.

To clarify on the second point, only certain ships can be used as transports (flytes are the only specific one that I can remember, but they're all in the same class). Ships like galleys can't be used as transports.

Yeah the transport ship names are Cog, Flyte, Merchantman and East Indiamen.

Also, the transports need to be at sea before you can load your troops on them.

Well, it all worked, and I went and bought the game, and am enjoying it immensely!
Except I can't spell immensely...
