    Icon3 Community project

    I'd like to propose a community mod project, basically we of TWC forum come up with a modification to include, setting, story, items, equipment, troops trees, horses, graphics, animations. I purpose we do not start from scratch, but acquire permission to use all good mods in this compilation community mod.

    So what are you're ideas? Remember ideas should be limited to what any one of us could do or volunteer to learn. Otherwise suggestions for ready made mini mods are welcome too.

    So are we talking "Forum Wars" Community mod or real community mod?

    No basically just a universal compilation and story/era modification. So all the basis graphics mods etc, the best equipment mods, and then pick a setting for it to take place and mod according to the story.

    So it won't combine giant mods such as Sword of Damocles and Chronicles of Talera then? Since they take place in different areas and the factions are very different along with gameplay.

    The main thing would be to come up with a compilation mod first then if there was any interest in doing an actually story line / theme would be the next step to consider.

    Sounds great I wouldnt mind helping I mean I can do the basics as in equiping the soldiers/lords e.t.c naming them and naming factions but that is as much time will allow me.

    I personally favor Punkt's HiRes textures for the overland map. see screenshots here:

    how about we make Crusader:Byzantine glory are community project so i dont haft to work alone anymore?

    Probably best to start with a pak for people to get them interested in mods. Any theme would have to be something we could vote on. I'd say it would probably be best to expand upon Calradia.

    So should we use this thread to brainstorm some themes up and then make a vote when we have decided on something like 10 themes?

    maybe it could have its own history,like this

    the kingdom of men(with viking culture maybe) was being slaughtered by ...drows,minotaurs or anything and with very few territories,but then another kingdom(of men aswell,which lives in a island,with roman culture maybe,but no red)goes help them and the deathbath beggins

    just an idea ... since theres mods about anything and theres not too much left.

    First thing before any theme or lack of theme be discussed is to come up with a list of must have mods to compile. I'll post mine in a few.

    I don't remember wich mod has it, but it has the helmet the upgraded dvor used in M2TW

    we definately need that outfit, and may I sugest: no gunpowder

    idea: lets expand on Calaridia but lets also make a crusader or byzantine faction invade calaridia . i really want part of my mod to go in this.

    Let's look at your personal favorites for equipment mods/additions there was an old helmet/black armor pak, new horses.

    My favorite mod untill now would be the Hundred Years war. The thing I like most about it is the large amount of different troops, accurate map and lots of new weaponry and armor so I think we should certainly include these three points in the community mod.
