    2 Stragtegic Map Questions:

    1) What's the difference between "town wealth" and "industry" (as they appear under "region wealth" on the region screen)?

    2) What are the advantages of sieging a region captial, instead of assaulting it?

    Thanks in advance

    IIRC...

Town Wealth is worked out by the population.
Industry is done by buildings in the region (weavers, mines, farms, etc.)

As for 2, Sieging means you lock down that city to building units, doing trade, etc. Ontop of that, you can wait for more forces if you want. Ontop of that, they will at some point either starve out (5 turns) and you take the town without a fight, or they sally forth, and therfore fight on YOUR terms, not theirs. Often with that your troops will be in 'defensive' mode so you can build sandbags and trenches and such, which always mean I get a huge victory with minimal losses.

In short, its FAR better to siege unless you want to use that army elsewhere fast, or can take on the garrison very easily. But in an even fight, sieging is far better

Town wealth is the amount that the regions output will grow each turn, ie a Paris having +32 town wealth means that each turn you will get an additional +32. It may not seem like much but it adds up over time. It's affected adversely by having high taxes on the nobles, if you lower taxes on them town wealth will rise. Industry is merely the amount of money being gained from industrial buildings such as ports, and factories.
