    Icon10 The Sad Horseman...

What a poor chap. First his wife leaves him, then he is sent to war, then he is forced to wear a santa hat, and now, this! I don't blame him for being so unhappy.

Its a 'bug' in the game.

    Heres how it works.

One is often killed when the other lives, most often the horse dies.

The horse switches (there is no animation) to laying on its side and dead.

    Thats what your seeing.

It takes about a second for the rider to then die, when it looks normal.

You see this allot when looking from a ground view

You ruined it, Hellman109. Don't you know that explaining a joke or anything else funny makes it's jocularity null and void?

Wow, maybe he got tired and decided he didn't feel like moving.

Maybe the horse misses his wife and family and is tired of the war.

Maybe he's just sleeping. He's tired from being forced to gallop all the time. He's gonna be okay though, right?

Maybe the horse is a female and is being abused by the rider, if you catch my drift.

    Durty!!!

Maybe he was trying to do this:

    But isn't doing it right.

Otherwise he'd better get off quick, as one of the first things I learned when first riding horses is that they are prone to rolling on the ground, often with or without a rider on. 1000 lbs. of animal rolling onto your leg is going to hurt.

Ever forget to put the bit in (somehow...). It can get scary...

his horse has broken down/ran out of fuel/got a flat battery, so now he is just waiting for the road service man to come and help him. I think that his horse looks like a new nissan thorobred and they have 12months 24/7 roadside assist

theres another one like this, well i think its abug. the rider will come off and fly on the floor with his arms out and his hea still up, then after a second or two his head jut snaps down. if its an animation they could have made it a bit smoother.
