Betrayed by the UP, Cherokee attack, 13 Colonies Rebel

Playing as the Brits.

In 3 turns, all hell breaks loose! The Cherokee declare war on the 13 Colonies, as do my erstwhile allies, the Dutch. I think that that is like declaring war on me, so on it goes.

The Cherokee take 2 colonies, then the rest declare independance. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I decided to recognize them, being embroiled in a crazy war with Spain, France & The U.P.'s. What I am hoping for (which is the way it happened in history) is a normalization of relations between the USA and GB. I need their trade, and I suspect that they need mine. How do I go about that? Bribes? Retake colonies and gift them back to the 13 C's?

Well, I guess I have to wait for the patch, or a good mod that makes the AI attack (invade) you. I guess the way to go is to play as Austria, or one of the continental powers that are landlocked and have to fight it out on the battlefield.

LOL they need your trade! Good one!

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but I don't think the AI is so complicated as to decide it 'needs' your trade.
If I were you, go to all lengths to make peace with either France or Spain (I highly recommend France, their ports are closer, they tend to be stronger, and they have great technologies), and quickly destroy the other 2, I was in close to the same situation with GB, and that's what I did. Also, if you take over European Spain, then you can advance on France on all sides

Then again, spain brings great trade, and France can be taken out in a couple of turns...just take Paris and whatever other European cities they have and bam quebec and everything rebels.

I took the Inuit as my protectorate, focused on completely taking over india, and defeated the pirates, took the dutch holdings on south america, took the spanish holdings on cuba, south america.

Uprooted the huron, took northern territories, new france and montreal etc.

I swept my land armies from india, after I completely took it over to drop them off on florida, to make war with cherokee, and brought armies from england to newfoundland, and moved new troops from north territories south across to take more cherokee lands.

So far so good.
