America/Crash on selection of unit

In the campaign, I have plenty of research on navies. So much so, I got alot of movement spaces when it comes to using a 'Second ship of line', and that is where the problem is.

I have taken Iceland and have moved a second Armada (or just a bloody navy ) into the America/Canada gate to get to the American Theatre. I wait a turn and try to select my navy, and the game crashes. It does not do it instantly, but it does it every single time I try to interact with that Armada.

At first, the game's music skips, than it gives me an error box that closes the game!

If it makes a difference, I have the game on steam.

System Specs (if needed):
8800 GTS Nvidia
Gigabyte Tech Mobo
4 GBs of ram
400 GB Hardrive
