Really Weird Deployment

So I was laying siege to a walled city the other night and an enemy army comes and attacks me from another region, upon loading the battle map I found that I was defending the city I had yet to capture...

Has anyone else encountered this?

This simply reflect the fact that you're fighting in the outscirts of the city you're currently sieging. The game, unfortunately, seems to be unable to show real city battles and instead all fights take place in small villages or on the countryside of the city. Sometimes you can see the actual city at the horizon...
