After gifting the conquered Russian provinces to Georgia, it takes at least 7 minutes and above for that specific faction to end its turn.
What's up with that? It's slowing my campaign down immensely.

Its the infamous Empire slow AI feature or bug. Different people run into the same problem only with different faction end turns. Some people think that it is some sort of incompatibility with the dual/quad core PC's. Assuming that is what you have.
Work of God
Yeah, I have a dual core. Should I just start a new campaign then?
I have the slow down problem but with the Maratha confederacy (and sometimes Sweden) only it takes hours not minutes. However, I have a single core machine (sulk) so it can't be an incompatabiluty with dual/quad machines in all cases.

I have a dual core. Since I assigned Empire to one chip only, my campaign is still alive (Prussia 1771) with little to none ctd's ... fingers crossed. Overall performance seems better.
Reminded me of the great SimCity 4 wich also was anything but dual core friendly.

How do you assign a program to run only on one core?
Well this bug is why i hate the campaign.
