Never got that one before. It is weird as I doubt Parrots would follow a person around.
Parrots can become very attached to its owner! So much, that if the owner dies or disappears, the parrot can become depressed and start tearing of its feathers. There is nothing unlikely about a parrot following a person around if that person has tamed and fed it since it was little.

This one made my day!
+1 morale in battle...
-Surrender or die pirate!
-Ha! You fool... I'll cut you in pieces!
-No no! It wasn't me, it was my parrot!
-Your parrot? Oh... I'm sorry Sir. Please forgive me and take my ship dear Sir...
the rest of the crew: HE HAS A PARROT! RUUUUNNN!!!
-IS IT A BLUE ONE?
-NOOOO IT'S GREEN!!!

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout foo'? That parrot is hilarious the first time you get it because it's so unexpected; plus it makes you feel more piratey! It's a million times better than a patriotic sword. My top five followers in terms of numbers are lunaticks, amusing cads, "mistresses" (lots of not so straight guys in Prussia this go round), dumb nephews, and patriotic swords. My favorite is probably the parrot, or the barber because that quote is ludicrous.
I love that it says "foul-mouthed parrot"
Oh and on another note...
Not that he was a follower, but once as England my minister to America was Dale Jarret. He must have been very popular in the southern colonies.

Well followers are the same as retinue in other tw games..I do not think that a general can have armor in his retinue either but they did![]()
It seems to me that whenever I've had a counter-revolution (my favorite thing to do nowadays) several of my ministers get "harridan" followers.
I once had an admiral who had two different parrots! One was just the regular one and I forget what was so special about the other...
"... angry men must also be strong, if they would achieve their purpose"
-Livy
Patriotic sword as a follower.
Man this sword must have had some serious personnality
I was honestly expecting a few more blackadder references in this game...
for example; Lunatic ancillary: "Madder than mad Jack McMad, winner of last year's Mr. Madman competition"
or... Alchemist: "M'lord! I have succeeded in creating a nugget of purest Green!"
or, Poet: "Quiet! can't you see I'm dying?"
So many wasted opportunities...![]()
Funny never had a parrot!!! I want a red one.............
Tara...Tira...Tarabshi...Ti...the Indian queen, got a man-eating tiger as default, but in my game, she also has a Sacred Cow. Can't remember what it does. religious happiness I think.
"Moo!"
Classic follower
Funniest I've ever had was:
Parrot
Dead-Parrot
Logic would lead me to, undoubtedly, a zombie parrot.
Edit: See attached for proof!![]()
