Icon5 Have a quick Question "Off Topic"

After playing Empire and getting back into the turn based gameing I have always loved. I got to thinking what other New turn based games I could look for. I would really Like to find a really good WW2/WW1 or Civil war based game in the same turn based gameplay style of the total war games. Can anyone suggest any New Turn based games I could be looking for?

    Thanks all?

Combat Mission 1,2 and 3 works very much like Total War.

It`s a WW2 range of strategic infantry\tank battle games that takes turns between you and the AI. It is VERY realistic. It configures stuff like tank penetrations, bullet ricochets, fear, morale and, like TW, routs when your men just run.

Once you and the AI finish turns you have a special one minute phase where you watch how you and the AI battle turns out.

The graphics are a bit old and you get about six men to represent 15 per squad and aircraft are abstract, but tanks, artillery and spotters are all in. It all works very well and can really eat up into your time. I think the enemy AI works extremely well to.

It doesn`t deal with sovcieties and all that, just battles, but you get small one off battles to great big campaigns that span several battles like the tank battle of Kursk or battles at stalingrad or even the North desert`s Afrika Korp against the Brits.
