I guess not.

So they handed SotC to the guy who's resume includes Exit Wound, Cradle 2 the Grave, Doom and the recent masterpiece Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Lana? Great...
I admit I've seen all of his movies and will download Chun Lana when the dvd is released simply because I have to complete my collection. }:
Anybody seen Richie? -Detective Gino Felino.

Goodbye, Shadow of the Colossus.
I'm not surprised at the fact that Hollywood takes another decent game andall over it.
The movie wasn't going to be good regardless. So who cares.
The director isn't named Uwe Boll, is he?
he might as well be. YOu know I think unless someone takes action I doubt there will ever be any good directors assigned to a movie based on a game.![]()

im going to go out on a limb and put my money on WoW. its not very likely, because they have a pretty lame story line (admit it, it would be super weird on the big screen) and the game has kind of plateaued in all of its aspects. if they made a WoW movie theres a big chance it would be out of desperation in later years.
BUT! i say WoW because from previous articles ive read about a WoW film they seem very protective of their IP. and of any developer i can think of, blizzard has the most potential to leverage their way into the settings that make a good film. they're not only fithying rich, but they (although it doesnt seem like it) have a passion for what happens to their universe.
they would have to find some way to rebrand the movie so that the casual viewer would be unawares it was world of warcraft. the associated stigma would kill the movie for most of them before they even saw a teaser. think about it: "World of Warcraft, the movie", i wouldnt even see it. but "Shaddow of the Colossus" would make a good movie title; you could leave that.
