Well i use this one and i'm not familiar with the software that u showed me.

I've a pb with the battlefield units banners. In my submod preference file, I've show_banners = 1. But in battlefield, nothing.
Ideas ?

Remove this line in your .cfg and delete the main .cfg and check if the banners pop up again.

In what format i must save it...???(i know about dds)

If you know how to save in .dds then use the converter linked above in post #41 and convert it to .texture.

i downloaded file in post 41 and clicked convert selected and...nothing...Done but any file arrived????I don't understand it...
PS I must have python 2.5????Bacause i have python 2.7 maybe this is the problem????

Yes that's the problem good guess, uninstall that version of python and click here to install this one it's 2.6 and it works.

Need a little help. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong when I edit the faction buttons. I'm using DXTBmp.exe to send the .tga's to my editor, but when I save the files as tga, they end up looking broken and skewed in-game. The alpha gets broken as well and I don't know what's causing it...

I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I'm just missing something... see below:

Download GIMP and edit .tga files in it, no need to use DXTBmp for this purpose.

Thanks, I'll download that when I get home tonight.

Also, I use Paintshop Pro and it doesn't have any trouble opening the .tga's by itself, but I'm not confident that I know how to handle my alpha layer correctly. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm wondering: If the software can open the .tga, would simply saving it preserve the alpha as long as I don't change anything except the raster? That would be simpler than downloading a new program just to edit .tga's.... Anybody else familiar with Paintshop Pro 8?

I'm not saying I won't go get GIMP; I'm just curious now that it seems that it wasn't my methods, just my software usage... .

I use Photoshop sorry.
But i doubt it will mess up your alpha just by saving it, it shouldn't imo and if it does then switch ti GIMP then.

im having a realy big problem with this battle map banner thing every time i try to add the banner textures it completely screws up the game both original game and all my mods, ive copied stainles steels banner.textures over to kingdoms grand campaign copied it to original game, made my own but it just keeps messing the battles up giving me mostly missing textures (just black coloured screen basicly) and then a crash a second later. i have to keep reinstalling everything because of it im just about at the point of throwing the game out the ******* window, be great if some 1 could tell me what im doing wrong

hello, someone know where its findable the special unit's banners? Such the ones for religious orders(templar, santiago, teutonic). I already downloaded the B.Ward banner, but I guess the order's banners are different from the faction banners.

You would have to create new entries for it bro, SS already uses it so take a look at their descr_banners_new.xml file.
