    Default Annoying Bug

I started a campaign as the Britons and waited a few turns before moving to the mainland. When I moved there, I expected a nearby German army to attack me, and they did. After my gen. made his speech, he was at the edge of the battle map, and it was unplayable after that basically. The Start battle/deployment buttons were messed up, and there was massive slowness.

Second try, I attacked first and got Samarobriva. Rebel army spawned. I attacked it. Same thing happens.

    I haven't dled 8.1 patch yet though

I have played Darth mod a lot and I never found any bug in 8.0 except when playing with spartan hoplites-sometimes a game would crash to desktop but it was only spartan issue. This bug was fixed in 8.1 and this mod in flawless since then.Make sure that install fresh RTW 1.0 then patch it to 1.1 then 1.3 and in the end to 1.5.After that install Darth mod 8.0 and after doing that install Darth mod 8.1.Everything should work perfectly after that!

Thanks for the info, mikoli. I've never really given the Darth Mod a fair shake, but, after the disappointment that ETW turned out to be, I've gone back to RTW and M2TW. I'm downloading the Darth Mod now and will give it a whirl.

Same thing happened just to me (8.1 with descr_formations_ai 16.0 and 16.2). British attack with 3 Family Members and 4 Warbands against a smaller Germanic force (ratio 5:2). I've also seen it in a defense before but then just autoresolved the battle because I thought it was a random terrain glitch or something.

Problem is: the leading general is deployed outside the deployment zone. I get the speech, then the battle screen goes white while zooming in on the general, then some psychedelic environment, then ctd. I could even reproduce something similar in a custom battle (3 bodyguard charioteers, 4 warbands), and one chariot unit was placed outside the zone (though it won't crash if it's not the leading general's unit I guess).

The problem goes away when I replace just descr_formations_ai.txt with the vanilla version. Or if I take out the Britons from the supported_factions line in any ai_barbarian_line_2 formation. So I'm pretty sure the problem goes back to those formations. Couldn't find the real culprit, though, probably something about 3 generals and the cavalry setup lines all include not_general markers. The proposed force deployment looked completely strange with two chariot generals in the centre, two warbands far out on each flank and the leading general way behind and outside of the zone, quite the opposite of what ai_barbarian_line_2 should give.

Besides that I really enjoyed the mod a lot so far, so just thanks!
