Im trying to cross a bridge into denmark but whenever i try to click it , the cusor shows up as an X. whats going on?is this a bug or something? cause i really need to take Copenhagen.
You are clicking on the ground past the bridge, right?
Your first post made it sound like you were clicking on the actual bridge which would put your army into the sea. You gotta click somewhere on the land on the other side of the bridge.
There seems to be a current bug or "feature" when there's enemy naval units in the vicinity occupying/blocking ports. Your gonna have to transport them over with ships or find a way to destroy those ships.
Conclusion: Ships near Copenhagen has a tendency to prevent your units from moving off "Sjælland"/the copenhagen isle.
Haven't heard anything that suggested otherwise, their probably hotfixing serious game crashes and waiting with a big patch to fix gameplay stuff.
You didn't have opponents on the other side blocking your bridge?
Yeah I just had that problem as well. It delayed the attack on Copenhagen for like 3 whole turns because once I figured out what was going on I had to march to the North end of the peninsula to board. For some reason it seems you're army can't even board when you're in an enemy fleet's "interception zone." It was very annoying.
Umm, are you talking about bridges or connections between islands/archiplegos (sic?). I think you are talking about connections, meaning you have to own both sides, or have naval dominance in the area. Makes sense as all ur little danish line of foot sitting in rowboats would be mincemeat even for a galley.
On to bridges (sorry if there is another post). When defending, do you guys situate your cannons to fire down the bridge end to end, or off to the side to enfidelade as they approach the bridge & rely on infantry to hold your end?
I have been doing the latter as I think most bridges rise in the middle, does this sheild the enemy, or is the game engine not that smart?
