arty force overshoot
This is no doubt common knowledge for most but it could be worth mentioning as I was in the dark myself until recently. Does anyone else force attack with their arty, overshooting their range limit? This has been most useful on no mortar/rocket games.. a 24 lber can put out around 20 metres further than the actual range. Just hold CTRL and right click as you would to attack. I don't force attack a unit, but actually force attack an area just behind the unit.. as otherwise it will fall short. I've had some players saying OMGOMG you edited your files, but it's not the case.

Re: arty force overshoot
I've started doing this recently. It takes a bit of trying to get it right, but it's nice because arty really does overshoot a lot.

Re: arty force overshoot
It is common knowlege but has made games quite interesting... before, the majority of ppl *especially in team games* would bring howitzers as they have more damaging percussive shots. However their overshooting ability is not as good as a 24 pounders shrapnel...
Ppl are now bringing the shrapnel shots in more and its causing alot of casualties from out of range
