    Default The Valkyrie Mod - planning stage

    NEW: Would you like to see the stats logged of your own faction or of all of the factions in your game?

    One day I made somewhere on this forum a thread about loggin a lot of ETW to keep statistics etc. Not many people answered and then suddenly Steinig sent me a pm and said he wanted to make a mod with me. he asked if I was in.
    From then on the Valkyrie mod was born.

    What?
    the main idea of this mod is to log a lot of ingame statistics so you can keep track of your stats and how your empire evolves ingame.

    Al this data would be stored on a server.

    Ideas?
    We know how we will do it but we are wondering what you guys, members of these forums, wants to see logged?

    Like evolution in population, evolution in army's, countries, battle statistics, etc...

    Mod team
    MaradoX- ==> Server side Developer
    Steinig ==> clientside Developer

    List of statistics that are asked for to log:

    (red means not done yet, green means done, blue means in development)
    1. Evolution in population in your faction
    2. Evolution in trade incomes
    3. Evolution in taxes
    4. Economic breakdown
    5. Military breakdown
      • Evolution of units during your campaign
      • Units lost/captured in battles
      • Experience of units gathered during a battle
      • Battle statistics (Units killed/unit, units killed in total, units lost)
      • Units participating in battles
    6. History records for units, generals and admirals
    7. ...

    I allways thought it was a damn good idea, but never got round to posing on it

    i think what you jsut said are great starts, population, battle sats, it would be good to know how many men you have lost over the course of a campaine. a proper ecconomic break down would be cool.

    I want to see how many battles one unit participated, won and loss.
    how many men they lost and how many enemy they killed.
    or even perhaps how many times they broke and run away

    So basicly Some kind of list with all used units, where you can click on one and see the History of that specific unit?

    Like:

    Code:
    Line_Infantery_1
            - 1700 Recruited in London
            - 1700 Assignd to General: "General Name"
            - 1704 Move to France
            - 1705 Battle versus "General Name" of France
                   - Kills 50 Men
                   - Riots
                   - Battle Won
                   - Men Lost 67
                   - Experience gathered 1

    Also it would be good if generals and admirals have the same history record.

    Along with the total number of people you have killed/lost, I think it would be neat if it recorded specifically where the numbers came from.Maybe a graph that shows how many soldiers from each faction you have killed and vice versa.That way you can look and see where the bulk of your fighting has been and how well you did against that faction

    I wonder if we should do that for all factions or just the players one.....
    Doesnt realy make a differents for coding, but it would be much more data to store.

    Affirmative, and yes vor every user we would have 20 times more information to store.
    Also i dont think we can do the battle related things for the AI cause they never plays a 3d Battle and if you dont the events doesnt get called.

    But campain infos should be fine.

    Maybe some kind of Minor log for AI factions and Major log for player faction?
