minor nations in MP

Preparing to play last night, someone joined the lobby and set their army as the Thirteen States. Was that possible because he completed the game or was there was editing done?

Up to now it is possible to play with modified games, so he has just enabled minor nations. the problem is that you don't know, if he did more than this....
But even if he don't have such obvouis changes made to the game, you don't know really if he cheats or not (changing stats or give himself unlimited money.

That's a mess as there are a lot people out there, who just like to have minor nations enabled or have optical mods in use. they might be put in line with those who cheat.

CA will come up with a solution against cheating, but hopefully it don't prevent from using graphical mods or prevent from playing with mods (including stat changes), if all have them.

Thanks for info. I actually kicked the player in question because of concern it could be from editing.

I have the minor factions mod, i have not actually used them in MP. Downloaded the wrong mod when i wanted to enable them in the campaign. I also have caligulas drum and fife mod.

But i understand if people get suspicious when you play with a minor faction, that is why i dont play them in mp. I hate being called a cheater

I used this before one of the recent patches that broke it and caused a new mod to be released. I stopped. Frankly, if the person logs into your game, and the first flag is afganistan, they are using this mod. And probably cheating as well. In fact, every cheater I've come across is nothing more than a modder. Not all modders cheat. Most don't. But all cheaters use mods.

So if I see Afgan, I kick. Yes, I'm sure you are 75% likely to be not cheating. Yes, I enjoyed the minor factions to add some flavor. Yes, I actuall know how to unlock them, so don't tell me the reason I kicked you is because "I can't figure it out" like some

told me. LOL. Copy/replace one file. Real technical.

But I kick all modders now as a matter of principal, and do not mod myself. Sorry, but that's me. Unless I know you I will just assume you are cheating.

Besides, they are just rehashes of the same units with a different flag. Although I still chuckle when I remember beating someone with the Mexican Navy....

How are archers? Some of the minor nations have them. I've seen some people use indian nations and afghanistan with some armored horse archers, are they balanced too?
