    Default Modding Unit problem?

    Can anyone help please??

I have retextured euro_superior_line_infantry_diffuse.dds file and renamed to euro_superior_line_infantry_united_states_diffuse.dds with the corresponding gloss map file with changes for the United States faction.

I also changed the relevant entries in the patch.pack file for db\units_tables\units late availabilty = true and i also cloned the euro_superior_line_infantry_vieux in db\units_to_exclusive_factions_permissions and changed to = usa_group

When i try to use the unit in game with mod manager i constantly get CTD's??? can anyone see where the problem is please?

The unit show up fine in vanilla version, but not when i make the mod changes in photoshop?

Pretty sure the texture file is tied to the model, so if you change the texture name you need to change the name referenced in the model file, which we cannot do yet.

I might be wrong here, but I am pretty sure this is a major reason we need a model convertor.

First, when you cloned the euro_superior_line_infantry in unit stats tables, did you make sure to rename the clone? Also, you said you renamed a texture to something else? Why exactly? Did you make sure to redirect the units that used that texture to the correct name?(it is where it binds texture to model, in one of the warscape tables I believe)

I probably got this completely wrong because I only read your post once, and I need to go now so I don't have time to read it again.

    Hope this helped!

What's the limit of mods for the mod manager, Toon?
GNOTHI SEAUTON (Know Thyself) - precept inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, Greece
MEDEN AGAN (Nothing To Excess) - another precept inscribed in the aforementioned place

Hi all, I figured this was the best place to ask the following. Can someone take a look at my upload and see if there is anything wrong with it? I can't get the textures of three units to appear and in the game I get a chocolate model in it's place. I thought maybe the textures were corrupted so I replaced them with textures stright out of the models.pack and still nothing. What puzzles me more is if I replace where the file points to the texture, with another texture that's in the mod, it works fine.

I'm more than certain it's not due to a spelling mistake because I've named and renamed, copy and pasted everything to avoid making a mistake so I'm really out of ideas as to what may be causing the problem.
