    Default Rebellions?

I have read that many nations can rise in Empire from rebellion. Like Ireland, Scotland, Greece, Turkey, Mexico and others.

I have played, and won, three campains with Great Britain, two in hard and one in very hard and never ever was there any serious problems with my regions. Not even from the Thirteen Colonies regions, who would become United States. I just made sure everybody was happy with reasonable taxing and nobody gave me any trouble.

Itīs not that I would want my regions to rebel but It would be fun to see it happen none the less... and then of course crush them. But I canīt see how It could happen if you donīt want it. At least not with GB.

So, I was wandering if anyone have had any rebellions in regions that would become a minor nation when actively trying to prevent them.

Like the previous post, GB is far to easy to play since its a constitutional monarchy meaning that clamor for reform is minimal at best.

Absolute monarchies have a much more difficult time having all the new enlightenment research done while maintaining an empire.

The only rebellions I had was with Austria on VH/VH using the Darth Mod and Poland, Hungary and Belarus all declared independence. So to minimize my rebellions I instigated a revolution by simply raising taxes and changed my government to a republic.

Do these nations come up randomly, or only if you lose control of the region? I mean if I keep everyone happy, can I be reasonably secure that I will not have to face an "independence"?

Rebellions only happen when a region has been "in the red" for three turns. Aka, if either class stay angry or "red" for three turns. Keep them in the green or at least, yellow, and you'll face no rebellions. You'll get them the most when you're out conquering. Most european regions will spawn a real faction instead of some generic "rebels". Hungary will spawn well...Hungary and Egypt will spawn the Mamelukes.

Rebellion is a prime way for factions to remerge. I've had plenty of times where France or Austria have been destroyed (Dutch+Wurttemberg combo and Prussia, respectively) but they came back after their original captial rebelled. (France/Vienna)

Rebellions aren't the only way to get new nations to emerge.

Persia starts with four provinces: Azerbaijan, Persia, Baluchistan, and Afghanistan... if you take the first three, Persia is destroyed and Afghanistan emerges as a new nation.

Afghanistan just appeared in my game. Persia, Mughals and Maratha were still in game.
