Dragonball Evolution-Epic Fail

This movie failed. I knew it would suck as soon as I saw the trailer, but even I didn't expect it to suck this much. These guys review it perfectly, right down to Jamie Chung and how she was the only good thing about it. It's vulgar, but they got all the right points.

yeah but you see Dragon Ball Evolution and you think "ok, sure the argument and the script are crap, but still it may have some really cool figthing scenes/special efects".... but they failed even at ading prety ligths coming out of goku´s hands.

Alright, let me try and go a bit more in-depth with it's awfulness:

Everyone and everything is a caricature and a cliche. I actually predicted every single device they used to drive the story forward. Jason Chatwin is a jerkoff who is just trying to get the girl. And that stupid grandfather who is a big Asian stereotype. Picollo was lame.

The story was so forced. It just developed at a pace that was unbelievable and a lot of characters were there just for convenience of the story. Performances sucked. It looked stupid. I'd have preferred a CGI version (maybe Beowulf style) where they could actually have the characters look true to the show.

Special effects, script, fight scenes, they were all awful.

Epic fail sure is a good phrase to describe that... They should have just let the Dragonball series be, and not bother with a live-action film.

I know the movie will be bad (the trailer showed it would suck horribly) but it's dragonball, I'll still watch it out of curiosity

Yeah, saiyans became giant harry ape things in the moon light. It was pretty sweet.

Well a bad movie from a bad tv series, who would of guessed?

The TV series was alright, even if it got ridiculous at times (the show might spend 5 episodes on Goku charging up for some battle, and another 6 or 7 for the actual battle).
