It's a rough idea I had for future total war games or perhaps something a very talented modder could implement.
It's basically the concept that like after every battle you are given statistics for the causalities, that instead after every war (either by ceasefire, faction destruction or the acquisition of the faction as a proctorate) that you are given an end of war page describing you the costs of a certain war.
So for example costs like;
- Gold spent on fielding and maintaining armies (monetary cost)
- Soldiers fielded (how many soldiers all together did you draw into battle against them)
- Causalities (allied/enemy ratio)
- Territories gained/lossed
- Time spent in war (years)
- Which leaders were a part of the war (kings/queens, presidents etc)
- Battles won/lost
- Battles of particular interest (heroic victories/crushing defeats)
I dunno I think it would be an interesting feature to look back at your military commitments and see how much was invested and of course their could be a log which you could check during a campaign of each war. Which you could rename the wars to makes things more interesting.
Personally, I would love a feature like this in the next total war game but I wonder if anybody else agrees, or am I COMPLETELY alone on time investment in such a feature?![]()
