And, it doesnt let me start campaigns. What do I do? I have RTW gold, which I got through the Gamestop online stores (it came with ETW...).

I envision a GREEN world! One conquered by Milan, of course.
Is this the steam version?

Dont get into a fight if there is nothing to win
I've been having the same issue. I just discovered this mod (through Wikipedia, of all things), and I have to say it's been awesome. So, thanks a whole lot.
However, I can't get the swimming / shield wall units because I got the Gold Edition, which comes with RTW pre-patched to 1.5 and Barbarian Invasion pre-patched to something after the version that is compatible for RTRPE installs.
I'm not sure if you guys are planning on making RTRPE work with the later patches on Barbarian Invasion, but it seems like the only version that people can get ahold of easily is the RTW: Gold Edition, which kinda sucks for us.
[Edit]: Oh. and Foolfromhell. For now, just uninstall Rome Total War / Barbarian Invasion completely, and re-install Rome Total War *by itself*, without the expansion. Then install RTRPE, with or without the modswitch, and you should be able to run just fine. Unfortunately, you won't be able to play with some of the unit abilities that are in BI.
There is no such thing. RTRPE is compatible with either RTW v1.5 or BI v1.6. Both are the latest/last versions of each engines.
Start the game, go to OPTIONS and check the upper right corner. The version is shown there and for BI it should say ver1.6. If it`s ver1.4 you need to install the BI v1.6 patch.
With the gold edition, when you install Barbarian Invasion Rome Total War reverts to version 1.3 (despite the initial install being the 1.5 version). You'll need to install the 1.5 patch for RTW after installing BI. Barbarian Invasion should be installed as 1.6, though.
It's stupid.
