    Default Damage type

    Wondering if anyone's found out anything about this by now - what are the effects of damage type (piercing, slashing, blunt and fire) attributes in the EDU? Allegedly slashing has some form of morale shock but I do not know for sure. Anybody have an idea?

    Dont waste your time as quoted from export_descr_unit

    ; Tech type = simple, other, blade, archery or siege

    Now if you want more powerful hits or blows use ap ( armour piercing.) Or just put higher attack points but still ap makes it more deadly with a moral shock

    That's the thing, I'm pretty sure it does do something. I've read a different thread where apparently the slashing weapon types yield an additional -6 for spearmen fighting slashing weapons. I'm not sure what the other damage types do.

    If you're refering to my testing, I messed it up. It's probably something more like -2 defence vs slashing for 'spear'. I'm confident the other damage types do nothing.

    I'd suggest you test it yourself
