question on religions

first, a short summary of my upcoming campaign:
i want to play byz, and i want to start in norway. the easiest way to do so is to simply exchange the factions in descr_names and descr_strat. but now i also want to give the formerly greek regions a sufficient catholic faith, so that they do not rebel.

how do i modify the religions on startup?
i tried to fix it in data/world/maps/base/descr_regions, but that doesn't work.

any ideas?

You have to go into the EDB and change the religion in the recruitment values as well...because of the DLV religion 'level' requirements...

Two or three hours of work. Work slowly and make sure you don't make little mistakes or you will get CTDs from even the slightest error.
