Little Interesting

So the Americas finally came up (what caused it? The Cherokee began to own Britain but I dono if that was it.) So i decided to go and take them out since they hated every nation including me. One little settlement wasnt too hard, but when I attacked they had all Indian troops, little odd eh? Also, then when I recruited a general, it gave me as many as I had money for. So I spent about 7k on generals and gained 5 of em lol.

Also, I have empty ports everywhere but in the diplomatic relations it says that I have no ports open. Whats up?

No idea for the first one,

If you select all ur army units ie Ctrl A then select recruit general it recruits a general for each unit card untill u run outa money

and No idea for the last one sorry

2nd means you're already trading your max. Doesn't matter if you have ships in your ports or not.

united states might have started in a cherokee controlled territory (one they took from britain but couldnt maintain order) and a cherokee general unit became an american faction member? none of those other units are cherokee units though. or do you mean like india indian?

i think your trading issue may have something to do with blockaded ports elsewhere or pirated routes where new ports dont take up trading until all your routes are clear. i had the same issue once but i dont know if it is what i suggested or just coincidence in my case.

both are speculation but seem to be plausible

Where are your ports?

They have to be in your home region, connected to your capital province.

Ah so realy your capital port ist he main one that matters? All other ports just lead it back to your capital? Or can they lead it to a nother place and then go by land.

And yeah the american guys are also indian. There are a few armed citizanry but there's also some indians as american rebels.

If you have England, only the trade ports in England or Scotland will count, not Ireland or any of the American ports. Has to be connected to your capital by a road on land you control. That means you usually have to kill your neighbors if you want multiple trading partners overseas. You can trade with anyone one of your roads connects to with by land, however.
