Man gets beaten up because of his skin colour, in France.

This is a video my friends saw and told me about, this is happening probably in an RER, basically a regional bus.
This is an unprovoked attack on a young man, simply because he is white, French and mildly wealthy!
At the end one of the attacking youths says: "Vas-y putain de Francais"
Which means "Go on you

ing frenchman"!

What are your views TWC?

First they try the "Zidane" trick, where they pretend to play around and get their hands everywhere trying to get your wallet or your mobile phone, I have already had this happen to me, and it works!

That's a shame, that's the only thing to say. However, I would'nt push too far the "because of his skin color". Had he been poor, he wouldn't have been attacked.No excuse for this.

BTW, the policeman who put the video on the internet has been arrested.

Really, what do you expect? I assume you posted this topic in the hope that there would be some people hating on black people because they're the root to all crime etc.

I was hoping there would be a debate about racist crimes in general, also about the social condition that exists in France now.

There will always be countless reasons for violence. Both by morally "evil" people, beating whites, blacks, jews, wealthy, poor, gays, etc. And also by morally "good" people, beating rapists, murderers, thieves, etc.

But, on the specifics of these, I'm not surprised at all, considering the number of non-French in France nowadays, but I confess it's rather ironic to be hated by being French in France itself.

Agreed. Scum don't need color, they just need a victim. They must be thwarted. What can I say. This is the glorious reality of police work. To have to deal with people like that gang. Think about that the next time you go..."LOL... cops brutalized poor kids". In this particular case, this wouldn't be the case.

I fully understand that there are cases of police overstepping their authority, but this is exactly what happens when they are not around.

According to the video, those guys were Arab Muslims.

1. how did you deduce that they were muslims

2. they are from north africa, they are magrehbins therefore not the same as from the middle east arabs

yeah that part almost got my worked up most. he doesnt try to wrestle the guy, he doesnt try to hit him - no resistance at all. just like the other guy later in the game - he gets punched by the kid and doesnt even go after it or hit back, he didnt even yell. not really sure if i d have intervened in this situation, i hop so but if i d be directly involved id have beaten them until i ran out of air

Don't wish for a flood to put out a forest fire. Even if they tend to cancel each other out, neither is good.

@Alerich, the first innocent guy tried to get his wallet back, then all of the others jumped him. The second innocent, well, had just seen what happened. he probably feared the same fate. Those guys even punched up the driver. All in all, out of that whole fraked up situation I am just glad they didn't try to "have fun" with any of the girls in that bus.
