My +light +troop + faction search didn't find much so the request is:
I'd like to try a faction that's more about maneuver. Light infantry, horse archers and light and heavy cavalry.
The Roman meatgrinder method is a great satisfying method - but the tactical flexibility of lighter troops is appealing maybe as a second campaign.
Unfortunately my previous experience came in Medieval 2 mods (e.g Seljuks - the Turks) and I found for various reasons horse archers and light troops in general could be easily caught and pinned by knights/heavy infantry - which is frankly ridiculous as they lose their only advantage so that put me off due to extensive micro-managing of horse archers and inevitable pausing to do it.
I'll read the Faction Previews anyway but they can't tell you everything so if someone is passionate about a particular faction that fits the bill share it.
