solution to crashes, works for me at least.

im pretty sure i have the solution for many crashes at hand here, i have played this way for 2 weeks and havent got a single crash yet, unlike before but anyway heres the thing i do before i launch the game.

when you start your computer, at the bottom right you see the program icons that are at the moment running, right click steam icon and press "exit", then lauch the game from your empire total war shortcut icon and start playing.

its not 100% guaranteed but at least i have been playing the game crashfree for 2 weeks and even today i have been playing it for 11 hours in a row, i know its sad but what can you do

before when i didnt do this first i got crashes at the campaign map and battle loading screen, not anymore!

oh by the way, people who cant start a campaign without crashing to dekstop i had the same problem once, i replaced the file at

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data\campaigns\main\ startpos.esf

and it worked after that. hope that helps too.

i know both of these sound ridiculous but just try, u might just get surprised

i am glad to here you are running ctd free many are also since patch date 30th, try run your game normally to see it it works from steam now

I tried that it wont remove icon unless I close the game (offline steam icon).
