    Default Savegames

Hello, I've told it before somewhere but nobody could help me. But now I will try again.

I want to upload my save games to play them on another PC. But, on the one PC there is a map called "Saves" in the main folder. At the PC where I'm trying to find the save game there isn't a folder called saves. Can anyone help me?

    Both PC's use vista btw..

I dont know, I use vista, but my saves are in the normal folder under the "Rome Total War" directory. Do you have uac enabled? maybe that changes something? Is this a steam install?

If you load up into the game and find out what the name of the save is you could always do something like this in DOS: DIR C:\[whatever the name of the save is].sav /S
Theoritically it is the same as using the search funtion in windows, but call me crazy, i think it works faster.

the map "saves" will not apear in the Rome:Totalwar folder untill you save a game, or make the map yourself

In other words, just save a game with the version that doesnt have a save and the program will creatge a save folder. I migrate my save games between 2 computers with my memory stick and no problem (but you do need a copy of the game on both computers...).

I've saved many games already but still I can't find any of them. I will try to make a map saves myself and see if the saves appear in it when I save a game

If you are using Windows Vista they may be in you 'profile' somewhere. Just go to 'Start' FIND and do a search like this:

    *.sav

And search your whole drive. That will find them and tell you where they are.

Well, if you're using Vista and installed the game into the 'C:\program files (x86)' folder then they go into your 'virtual store'. However, as you've not bothered to tell us which OS you use.....

I'm not someone who knows very much about computers, I dont't even know what you mean by OS..
    It's saved in: C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War
I've tried to search it many times but he just wont find it.
I think I will reinstall it one day because the whole map is way different it doesn't have the map preferences either.

OS = Operating System. Given the path you've supplied it's probably Windows XP rather than Windows Vista.

If the PC that you are trying to find the 'saves' folder doesn't have such a folder then I think someone has deleted it. It may be a 'hidden' folder. I suggest you show 'hidden folders'.

    1) On a window for a folder click on tools.
    2) Select 'folder options'
    3) On the 'View' tab click on 'Show Hidden files and folders'
    4) Click 'apply to All Folders' - it's a button at the top

Have a look in your game folder and see if there is a 'saves' folder there.

If you are using Vista it's more likely in "c:\program files (x86)" than "c:\program files". This results in any saves going to the 'virtual store'.

But you need to be more precise with what you are telling us.
