Default Best way to make copies of SS?

I was wanting to make multiple copies of SS on my cpu, whats the best way to go about doing this? I want to have many copies of SS to try out different mods to see how they work together. This is a very basic thing I know, but I have had trouble doing this. I am alot more famaliar with gaming consoles then PC's.

It's quite easy. The key is to give each installation folder a different name. I append what submods are installed to the directory name (i.e. Stainless_Steel_6+RR, or Stainless_Steel_6+CBUR)). Then when you want to play with a certain set of submods, just rename the Stainless_Steel_6 folder to something else and then rename the copy you want to play to Stainless_Steel_6. Each installation is self contained and wont interfere with the others.

When you want to install a new submod into a new copy of SS, you're going to need a fresh copy of SS6.1 without any submods installed. You can do this by either:

    1. Running the SS installer again BUT point it into a different directory other than your M2TW directory and then when it's done, rename the new SS folder something like Stainless_Steel_6_new and then copying it into your M2TW\mods folder.
    2. Renaming your current SS folder something different and then running the installer again.

I always keep a fresh copy of SS installed under Stainless_Steel_6_new not only for when I want to try out a different set of submods, but for when I'm modding and something stuffs up and I've got a fresh backup to fall back on

So after you make another copy of fresh SS in a different directory, all you need to take from there is the 'Stainless_steel_6' folder?
You know, there are other files are made too when you install all the 3 files(two 6.0 and the 6.1 patch).
All I have to do is take the 'Stainless_Steel_6' folder and put it in the mods folder with whatever name I want to name it. Is that correct? Just want to make sure.
Then I guess you can delete all other files that were made thru the installation since my original medieval folder has them?
Hope you understand what I'm asking.
I suck at explaining and asking
