well I did most of that except relocate the capitol.
    Smart move, that.
    Will have to try!

Tried out of desperation Rhun, and they are swimming in money!
But I'd prefer to play Elves or Dwarves anything a bit harder.

Tnx for the kind replies and help!

    Awesome mod, dearest modders!

Silvan Elves are easy if you can make them work quick enough. Siege settlements and use the archers as much as you can. Skirmish can keep them out of melee for ages but until you start facing trolls/heavy infantry they can usually win. Especially ten metre volleys that devastate the enemy charge long enough for them to shoot again.

Send Legolas with reinforcements through Mirkwood while Haldir heads up the Anduin Vale. Then you can either take Dol Guldur or attack the OotMM.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I am me. You are not me. You are you. If I was you, I wouldn't be me.
If you were me, I'd be sad.But I wouldn't then be me because you'd be me so you wouldn't be me because I wasn't me because you were me but you couldn't be because I'd be a different me. I'd rather be any kind of bird (apart from a goose) than be you because to be you I'd have to not be me which I couldn't do unless someone else was me but then they would be you aswell so there would still be no me. They would be you because I was you so to restore balance you would have to be me and them meaning all three of us would become one continously the same. That would be very bad.

Hey , I just captured a city from the humans with the Orcs of Gundabad. There are much buildings which are built from the humans.
Can I make it to a city like mine?

    Mostly yes...

To change the 'style' of the buildings present you'll need to upgrade them to the next tier. Sometimes this really isn't possible with the orcs (they don't have some of the high-level buildings that humans have) so the buildings will always look like human ones, but some of them you can upgrade to look more 'orcish'.

Note that the culture of individual buildings (not to be confused with the culture level of the settlement) is purely cosmetic. You do not lose anything by having a Mannish archery range.

Any tips on how to build a Swordsmith's guild in Gondor? I've built armouries and recruited sword units, but still no success.

Tips/ ways of getting points for swordsmith's guild:

You get the opportunity to guild a swordsmith's guild once you earn enough points by recruiting infantry units and upgrading the blacksmith building chain. The three point tiers you need to earn for each guild upgrade: 100, 250, 500

*Special Characters: s = score added for the specific settlement; o = score bonus increases across other settlements*

    #### GONDOR #####

    Recruitment:

    - Dismounted Kofm : s 5
    - Marines: s 10
    - Gondor Infantry: s 15
    - Dismounted Swan Knights: s 15

    Buildings:

    -BuildingFinished = leather_tanner: s 10
    -BuildingFinished = blacksmith: s 15
    -BuildingFinished = armourer: s 15
    -BuildingFinished = heavy_armourer: s 20, o 1
    -BuildingFinished = plate_armourer: s 25, o 2
    -BuildingFinished = gothic_armourer: s 30, o 5

Any ideas what is cause of "Winning first" / "Cruel and Cunning" trait after battle? Is there a way to avoid them?
(It sucks to get constant "Winning first" to your popdumper - 7 helmets worth general.)

Mank's link will answer your question in detail, but I find that 90% of the time I get 'Winning First' is from fighting Rebels. Any time you attack a non-evil faction (this includes Rebels) you can get Winning First. If you want to siege Rebel towns you can starve them out or wait for them to sally. To clean up wandering rebel armies on your lands, don't use a general.

It's pretty easy to gain 7 Chivalry on a fighting general though and overcome 1 point of Winning First. Just catch and release prisoners, if it's over 50 prisoners you have a 50% chance of getting points towards "Merciful Victor" which can gain multiple levels and give +3 Chivalry pretty quickly. It's tougher on a governor that is supervising a backwater town and does not participate in fights.

Here are a couple of resources that go through that part of the game dynamic:

-How TATW Generals gain dread & chivalry in battle. This should have most of the info you're asking about.

-Also for a full list of trait names and points you can also check out Sasilan's M2TW Traits Guide.

    Hope these help!

If a general with no levels of BattleChivalry kills eight or more enemies in a battle, he gains a point of BattleDread with 50% probability.
If a general with no levels of BattleChivalry attacks an enemy and kills more than 50% of them in a battle with odds greater than 1.5 he gains a point of BattleDread.
If a general with no levels in BattleChivalry wins a normal battle in which he hit at least one enemy, the battle success was crushing or greater, the odds less than .95, and he killed more than 70% of the enemy, he gains 2 points of BattleDread.
If a general with no levels in BattleChivalry wins a battle with a success rating of average or greater, the odds were less than .95, he did not fight in the combat, and killed less than 20% of the enemy, he loses a point of BattleDread.

This may be the wrong place but I was playing my HE campaign yesterday and it struck me why the SE and the HE aren't allies in the beginning? I mean if the HE are already allies with Eriabor why not the SE, given the fact Galadriel and Elrond are besties in the books and Elronds wife(from Lorien I believe?) and daughter spend a huge amount of time in Lorien which belongs to the SE in vanilla TA

While I in general concur with Finn's scepsisim on an outright alliance there is the case when Sauron was driven from Dol Guldur in 2941 (the year of The Hobbit) by a White Council military operation, to which our limited information should mean a joint Lórien and Imladris operation (I am curious but not hopefull to see what the movies will make out of it all hehe).
That the factions aint allied in TATW is presumably to increase the amount of interaction for the player (SE and HE are very likley to become allied, since they have same enemies and have Elven culture, anyhow) as well as because in SE Lorien and Mirkwood are combined, and Mirkwood was not allied with the High Elves - on the opposit they avoided them, that's partly why the Sindar leaders of the kingdom moved east to begin with, though there's been exceptions like when they joined the Last Alliance to stop Sauron.

If you want them to start as allies open data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign and the file descr_strat.txt
    Look for this;
    Code:
    faction_relationships egypt, at_war_with slave
    faction_relationships egypt, at_war_with hre
    faction_relationships egypt, allied_with turks
    faction_relationships mongols, at_war_with slave
    faction_relationships mongols, at_war_with hre
    faction_relationships mongols, at_war_with england
    and add this
    Code:
    faction_relationships egypt, at_war_with slave
    faction_relationships egypt, at_war_with hre
    faction_relationships egypt, allied_with turks
    faction_relationships egypt, allied_with mongols
    faction_relationships mongols, at_war_with slave
    faction_relationships mongols, at_war_with hre
    faction_relationships mongols, at_war_with england
    faction_relationships mongols, allied_with egypt
    Save and close.
    Work in new campaigns
(Possibly you have to open data/world/maps/base and there delete map.rwm before the edit kicks in, but don't think so)

@ Gimli2, I was thinking the same just after I started my first HE campaign, even though there are some reasons to see they are friends (very good ones if we speak of their leaders) I have to admit that there is no real reason to have them allied; at any rate their relations starts with very good IIRC, so signing an alliance is quite easy

from lore point of view: is is said by Haldir that they live on that days completely isolated by everyone else, including their kindred in the north (speaking about Legolas, being elves of Lorien in large part Sindar); furthermore to be an ally of someone means you are ready to give military support, something that was not intended (isolation of Lorien) or possible (low numbers of Noldor), so yes they are good friends, their leaders share same vision but they are not military allies. Of course Gilraen was from Lorien (being the daughter of Galadriel) so there is even more than friendship, but one thing is giving access to the children of Elrond another is to open your land to anybody; I don't doubt they would not shot any Elf (or even a Man) going into their realm, but they were isolated, so except for important errand they would no allow anybody in

correct, I forgot about the forces of the WC driving out the Necromancer from Dol Guldur, still I don't think it was a real military action but perhaps mostly just something like "showing muscles"; in fact Dol Guldur was not freed until after the end of the war of the ring.

Now that I'm thinking about it, where the WC was usually meeting?

The only of the meetings that have a localization is the one in 2851, AFAIK, and that was at Rivendell (UT; The Hunt for the Ring; iii)
