    Default euro_line_infantry vs americas_line_infantry

What's the deal here? I'm trying to mod stats for the US faction - at first i was modding the americas_line_infantry entry in the unit_stats_land table, but that did nothing, i have to mod the euro_line_infantry entry to modify US line infantry. But the americas_line_infantry entity is in the unts_to_groupings table. What's the story - where are the 'americas' units used? If I want to modify units for the US faction do I even need to bother with the americas units?

Did you happen to recruit them in America? I modified my American Line Inf, and only the units recruited in America are effected.

I see - I'm not sure - I've been testing unit changes out by playing single player battles - the units you can draw from in the pre battle screen seem only be of the euro_line_infantry flavor. That makes sense, I suppose. But what if I wanted to use America's unique units in a single player battle. That's weird. Is there anyway to say which units you can an can't use in single player battles? Like say I was GB and I wanted to use East India Company men in my single player battle? Thanks for the reply though, that does shed a little light.

what I did for modding americas line infantry for my single player campaign was make americas line infantry global recruitable and make sure it was available for both early and late era for custom battles.

I never tested if it showed up in Custom Battles but I saw the changes in the campaign.
