Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

Guessing game comeback, what kind of helmet is this: http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6415/67299126.jpg
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/356/41256363.jpg~TuxThis pink helmet looks insane . And yes it looks like Apulo-Corinthian helmet. Also forgot to mention that the new navy ship icons are finished, 10 in total. ~Tux
Edit: I have on question: Is this form correct? I know it as Italo-Corinthian helmet.

That was quick.
Correct, well from what I know both are correct and actually there are many other like:Etrusco-Corinthian or Pseudo-Corinthian which is the one we referenced to it internally.
So now to follow the prize: some eye candy and explanantions.
The historians gathered some pictures from various sources, such as coins, for some of the type of helmets used in Eb2, in this case:

However this isn't too useful for a 3d artist and hard to use so a concept artist will draw some detailed blueprints based on these. In this case, Gleemonex, a former member and great artist who sadly dissappeared:
Finally based on this, and thanks to Gleemonex for the decoration in the concept, the model and textures are created:

And finally we have a low and can also have high poly version of the given helmet.
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peak and have a better understanding of how our workflow is in some cases.
Thank you for your presentation, itīs very interesting. I really like the coin, itīs really interesting and I never seen it before. Is it the coin of the Ptolemy X Alexander I? Iīm little confused by the date of reign in the name of the picture. The second helmet in the sketch reminds me a helmet, which is depicted in the coin of Diodotos Tryphon. After such nice presentation itīs even harder to wait for some Hellenistc faction preview
Also itīs sad to hear about the disappearance of such skillful team member. I hope heīs well.
Ptolemy X was killed in action at 88 BC. Maybe the numbers in the name mean something else. Thanks again.
