just reading up on some older things i'm excited for in 2.2. what exactly are the right places? As they are settlers are the more in the east like anatolia syria mesopotamia egypt or are they also in macedonia?

In the east, in those places you mentioned, not in Makedonia at all.

Those are decorative plumes attached to helmets, not ponytails. That's clearly the thorakitai unit, which has been available since the release of v. 2.1.

DingDingDing... Trve Leveller worked some on the new Elite Thorakitai but didn't manage to complete them. Still they are quite different now from the regular Thorakitai, they are more well armoured and have larger shields. I'll make a preview of the newer version soon.

i'll say agrianian infantry equites extraordinarii tarantine cav or saka catas. I'd hope for agrianians or campanian cav ooooor syrian archers (please gods let it be syrian archers) tbh hahahaha

More heavily armored? In what way? Only with their stats? More chainmail on average? Otherwise I don't see any difference in this one shot. Granted I can only see their backs and its very hard to tell the details here. How much larger are their shields? Significantly larger? Noticeably larger?

Cuirasses. Regular Thorakitai don't have any, they have mail and linothorakes.

I'm pretty sure there's at least 1 version with a cuirass for most factions in 2.1. Maybe you're making changes in 2.2?
