Thraikioi Peltastai on the feed!
Thraikioi Peltastai on the feed!
Quickly now, to the bird!
These were the units that were hinted at in the Cantabrian preview, by the way. I merely used the Peltastai Logades as a placeholder EDU slot to test the model out.
The Thracian Peltasts have two skins: Mercenary and Regional. You can see the two different skins in the fourth screenshot: The regionals are on the left while the mercenaries are on the right.
Wonderful news!
(I'm quite proud at the moment that I guessed them right. )
They look beautiful .... and I'm looking forward to use them in my armies (not so much looking forward to facing them in enemy armies, though ).
Ave,
so here is something special from me I hope you will like our new polybian units! Enjoy!
Hmmm, something goes wrong here is the link

Holy crap! That was awesome! Hell yeah! Semper fi! Roman heavy infantry with iron helms and chain mail armor for the win.
I'm equally excited for the Greek chain-mail-armored heavy thorakitai units, total beasts. And of course the tanks of the ancient world: the cataphracts, including not only Parthian and nomadic but also Hellenistic cataphracts.
Now if you would only add Warring-States-Era Qin Chinese crossbowmen then I'd probably swoon. For piercing armor and multiple bodies at once, though, I think the ballista units will do just fine. I am also super psyched for the onagers and lithobolos stone throwers. This video just simply needs to be shown again:
