It's quite difficult at the moment, because while we have a list and most of those units are assigned, progress can be very variable. Everything you've seen on the Twitter/FB feeds you will get, we only announce them when they're integrated into the game.
As a taster of some of the things in development (and bear in mind, they may or may not be ready before the change freeze): Skythian Foot Archers, proper bodyguard units for the Bosporans and Getai, late Libyans/Liby-Phoenicians, Indian tribal levies, Thraikian levies and regulars, Celtic levies, Goidelic units, Kardakes, Sabaen levies, Eastern Iranian Archer-Spearman, re-worked Arachosian Cavalry and Baktrian Tribesmen.

I've heard they won't be back as their historical legimacy is disputable and they role will be fulfithed by a more convencional Thorakitai Agema (though maybe not yet in the next release, Thorakitai are cool enough and I think more love should be put in other factions as the Seleukids will be more than complete with the already comfirmed units).

New twitt
I belive I can say the same in behalf of by the fan community! On behalf of the team a huge THANK YOU to our hard working new modellers!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Yeah i'd like to extend my thanks here as well to all the new modellers working hard to giving us as many new units as possible!
I really like those Pedites Extraordinarii! However, is there a solid defensive reason why he only has one leg greave instead of two? Perhaps he was too poor to afford both? Does it inhibit his agility in any way to afford another leg greave on his right leg? Also, he's wearing it on his left leg while his left arm supports his shield. I'm guessing that, given his fighting stance, his right leg would be out of danger while his left leg put further in front would be more susceptible to stabbing, slashing or hacking?
Loving the Pedites, keep working on those Italian Allies and Romans!
I've started recently a campain with the Areuakoi so I can check that, though I had no idea thay had a reform, how does it work and what does it give?Feedback sought: Are the military reforms for the Pritanoi, Arevaci/Areuakoi or Gallic factions working? Thank you - Brennus (and EB Team)
I wont be able to play in the next few days so I might take a while to give definite feedback.
Correct. The left leg would be the leading one, and the only part of the body that normally "sticks out" from under the shield would be the left leg.
I know it's not an academic source, but the old EB website has most of the early Roman heavy infantry with a single leg greave.

The Greek phalanx and the Pezhetairoi have the same thing. As far as why they didn't use them for both legs? I don't know, probably the expense. The descriptions of a lot of units state that the men were unable to afford armor, which is part of how they end up in certain units. Although, if it was me I'd be fashioning my own armor out of bark and pots and pans if I couldn't afford the real deal.
There's also the inconvenience of wearing it. Unless they fit properly, greaves cut into the tops of your feet and they slow you down.
I don't think metal pots were cheap back thenAlthough, if it was me I'd be fashioning my own armor out of bark and pots and pans if I couldn't afford the real deal.
