Yes, people from Georgia both past and present were and are a Caucasian people with a variety of phenotypes involving hair and eye color like other Europeans and population groups around the Black Sea, and perhaps that should be reflected a bit more in some of the models, but why are we calling it "normal" skin, exactly?

Are you suggesting the "Aethiopioi" Africans in the game don't have normal skin?

    The Astur-Cantabrians! Good work!
The flat shield boss with a cross symbol is interesting.

I was just about to let people know there's new goodies on the feeds.

Yes, the Cohors Tumultaria will be in the patch.

So, what are these guys exactly? Late game garrison/emergency fodder?

They're the missing part of the Marian roster, emergency levies. For the patch they will have regular recruitment, but we're discussing ways of simulating "turmoil" to make them available differently for 2.4.

What's the difference between these Bosporian Cavalry to the Bosporian Horse-Archers?

They don't seem to be lancers due to how they wield their spears so these are basically Bosporian counterparts of the Saka and Sarmatian Noble Horse Archers?

When will the Bosphoran cavalry be available? From the start? After a reform? Twitter says it's the early version, interesting.

Those Dahae Nobles look far lighter than their EB1 counterparts.

Couldn't they be able to afford to arm themselves in the same way as their Saka and Sarmatian counterparts?

Are you talking about riders or the horses. If you are also refering to the horses, then the reason the horses look like that is that they are using placeholder horse models. In fact for the past 2 or 3 years all the new calvery units have been using placeholder horse models... We don't have people to create models for them at this time unfortunately.

I meant the noble riders. In a region where most of the noble horse archers are armored with scale or chainmail, these guys look too lightly armored for being the top dogs of a nomadic confederation.

This is especially nothing when their Parthian cousins(?) are heavily armored to the point they already have cataphracts.

Currently Pahlava doesn't really have the final BG unit, nor are there the Aparna/Parni nobles in-game yet. The current unit was given cata models, for the reasons given by Baktra above...

Regarding the Daha nobles, archaeology doesn't show a large use of scale suits and other defensive equipment by them. The Mazsakata/Massagetae instead have such heavily armoured riders. Unclear whether the Daha employed less armoured units due to physical restrains or tactical choices (similar to the later Alans preferring speed). The Pahlava overall will grow heavier and leaning towards shock tactics the more they settle/develop as a faction in the Iranian Plateau...

Still these Daha will pack a punch when charging in

All the new screenshots belong to the revamped Carthaginian city (both models and textures have been made by Ariovistus Suebus).
