Hi I just found out about RTR after playing EB for awhile. I loved how EB offered the long battles....does RTR offer the long battles aswell?
BTW what does the extended mod do?

Yes, the are pretty long from what I remember. Your leaders require less hit points to die, as well.
The length of battles depends on how you maneuver you forces. If you want to slog it out, then just use a basic frontal assault.
However, I recommend achieving numerical superioriy at one decisive point on the battle field. This will allow you to route the enemy and then roll up behind the rest of the remaining enemy units.

Although RTR PE is a little dated now, it still gives the player a good challenge. Units have been balanced to provide historical accuracy. EB is a great mod and I can only suggest you try RTR PE, ExRM (more up to date), TIC (A shorter campaign but with some new tricks up its sleeve. See the thread on the opening battle for how tough it is)
